The future of Real Housewives of Potomac looks to be a doozy.
A mid-season trailer screened for fans at BravoCon on Friday, Nov. 14 and featured the usual dramatic antics between its stars. But one shocking appearance came at the end of the spot that had fans whooping and then applauding at the convention, according to Variety.
Karen Huger steps into the spotlight before the trailer ends, sitting down for a post-prison interview with Andy Cohen — who serves as executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise.
Huger, 62, was released from prison on Sept. 2, after serving six months for driving under the influence and driving while impaired, among other charges. She proclaimed her innocence throughout season 9 of RHOP and insisted that she would be exonerated, Variety reports. The TV personality did not attend the season 9 reunion, which was taped after her conviction, but did record a video message saying, “No, I’m not an alcoholic, let’s be clear.”
But Huger’s mid-season trailer bombshell came when she is seen sitting opposite interviewer Cohen, 57, who says, “Here we are. You are a free woman.” Huger then says, “It’s time to talk about my addiction.” See the clip below.
In other Real Housewives news, RHOBH star star Teddi Mellencamp has just provided an update on her cancer journey. While attending the same BravoCon, the mother of three, 44, shared that she’s feeling much better these days.
“I see it as a miracle,” Mellencamp told Extra. “I feel so beyond grateful that I’m feeling better and that I’m able to be there more for my kids and my family. I have such amazing friends and support system that’s really gotten me through, and so I’m just, I’m grateful.”
She continued, “There’s going to be good days and there’s bad days. And you’re not alone… And I think the only other message that I can definitely say is go get your checks because knowledge is key.”
