Greg Evigan, the actor beloved by a generation for BJ and the Bear and My Two Dads, has surprised fans with a sweeping new classical album recorded with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
The project, titled Greg Evigan with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, marks a major musical moment for the actor-musician, whose talents have always extended far beyond his TV roles.
The album was recorded in Studio One, “The Big Room” at Abbey Road, and features eight orchestral compositions that Evigan originally wrote and played on piano. Arranger Joe Curiale expanded them into lush, full-orchestra pieces performed by a 65-piece ensemble.
Evigan then returned to Los Angeles to mix and edit the project at Chumba Meadows Studios with help from his Grammy-winning son, singer/songwriter and record producer Jason Evigan, along with Gian Stone, Raphael Fadul and Jason LaRocca.
“It’s been a long, enlightening journey putting this project together and finally sharing this music with you all,” Evigan writes in the album notes. “ENJOY!”
His Daughter Briana Evigan’s Emotional Tribute
On Instagram, his daughter Briana Evigan celebrated the release with an enthusiastic and deeply personal post reflecting on the music she grew up hearing.
“You did it, daddio. Years later released with the London Philharmonic. Get your copy now. I used to dance to this music across the living room as a kid. Never gets old. The best classical album out there! At least my favorite, I know that’s a big statement. ❤️🤣 go listen to the magic,” she wrote.

A Lifetime in Music
While many remember Evigan primarily as a TV star, music has always been the backbone of his career. He began on Broadway in Jesus Christ Superstar in 1971 and starred as Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway in 1972 and 1973.
He has composed for television (My Two Dads, B.J. and the Bear), contributed songs to film and TV soundtracks, and performed everything from rock to classical. My Two Dads fans may not know that he wrote and sang the show’s theme song, “You Can Count On Me.” He also played keyboards and contributed vocals in his son Jason’s rock band, After Midnight Project.
Greg and Jason also co-wrote “Mirror Image,” which appeared on The Osbourne Family Album — a release that went Gold.
