The musical showdown at the Oklahoma Ranch in Oklahoma City continued on The Road with the musicians handpicked by Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan and Keith Urban competing in the CBS singing competition in which they serve as the opening act for Keith.
Last week four of the remaining nine artists competed with Forrest McCurren getting eliminated. Sunday night, the remaining five – Adam Sanders, Billie Jo Jones, Briana Adams, Britnee Kellogg and Channing Wilson – took the stage to sing an original song and a cover with the goal in mind to impress the audience, who voted.
Both Adam and Channing have finished in the top, with Channing winning the night in Dallas, so Billie Jo, Briana and Britnee are facing some tough competition.
At the end of the night, the bottom two vote getters were assessed by Blake and Keith and one had to give up their seat on the bus when they were eliminated. Only seven will get back on the bus and continue the tour next week. The grand prize for winning The Road is a slot at Stagecoach, a recording contract and $250,000.

Who finished at the top on The Road tonight?
For the second time in a row, Channing Wilson was the top vote getter of the night for his cover performance of Hank Williams Jr.’s “Weatherman” and his original song “Getting’ Out of My Mind.”
Who was in The Road bottom two tonight?
The audience also voted for the bottom two. Blake delivered the results, saying, “There’s no explaining it. There’s no rhyme or reason. It just is what it is. Tonight, the bottom two are Billie Jo and Briana. I’ve got to say again, you both sounded really incredible. For us, from the connection that was had here tonight on stage, Billie Jo is the one we are going to move forward to next week.”
“I figured as much,” Briana said. “I knew singing that [Dolly Parton “Jolene”]cover song was a gamble. So, thank you so much for this opportunity. I got to come here and be unapologetically myself.”
The Road will air Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and stream next day on Paramount+.
