Ariana Grande stole the show as she attended the 16th Governors Awards on Sunday.
The glamorous event saw the 32-year-old singer make her first red carpet appearance since she was ambushed by a fan in Singapore last week.
Ariana posed for the cameras in Los Angeles wearing an attention-grabbing pale pink Dior gown. The one-shoulder dress featured intricate beaded details and a dramatic sash at the hip.
Ariana styled her brunette hair in an elegant updo and opted for a glittery eyeshadow with dramatic lashes. She completed her makeup look with a clear lip gloss and accessorized with a pair of dainty pink earrings.
The Wicked actress was joined by celebrities such as Sydney Sweeney, Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez at the Governors Awards.
Ariana’s appearance at the event came after a fan rushed at the singer while attending the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good.
A 26-year-old man named Johnson Wen jumped over the barricade and wrapped his arms around Ariana at the premiere. Ariana’s Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo was seen in a video from the incident quickly pulling Ariana to safety.
Wen was detained and charged by Singapore authorities with being a public nuisance after creating the “alarming” and “unsettling” scene.
Wicked actress Marissa Bode, who plays Nessarose Thropp in the musical films, has since spoken out about the incident.
In a TikTok video, the 25-year-old admitted Wen made her feel unsafe at the premiere. “‘But they’re a fan!’ Okay. Then they’re a fan and a loser,” she said in one video as she responded to people who defended Wen as a “fan” of Wicked.
She continued, “This is what I mean when I say social media brings out the worst in people. Oh, did you get your views? Did you get your likes? Guess what you also did? You made somebody feel incredibly unsafe, but just–no remorse.”
Marissa then described Wen as a “bad person” before elaborating on her thoughts in a follow up video.
In the clip, she warned, “These are people, they are not products, they do not owe you their entire personhood. And to be frank, if you don’t agree with that, you are not a fan.
“You are someone who’s entitled that desperately needs to be brought back down to Earth.”
Ariana is yet to comment on the Singapore incident, instead taking to Instagram to simply share pictures from the red carpet. “Thank you Singapore. We love you,” she wrote in the caption.
