A rapper who drew one of the largest crowds ever in New York State Fair concert history is returning to Syracuse.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie will perform at Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial on Sunday, March 29, 2026. No opening act has been named for the show, which will begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster or in person at the Solvay Bank Box Office at The Oncenter (760 S. State Street Syracuse, NY 13202). Prices have not been announced.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie previously performed at the War Memorial in 2023 and at the NYS Fair in 2018, when he drew a then-record 40,610 fans to Chevy Court. Only five artists since then have drawn larger crowds to the fair, including Nelly, Flo Rida and country singers Lainey Wilson, Jessie Murph and Megan Moroney.
A Boogie, whose real name is Artist Julius Dubose, is known for his mix of trap beats and emotional storytelling. The hip-hop star’s hits include “Look Back At It,” “My S—,” “Drowning” and “Still Think About You,” plus collaborations with Ed Sheeran (“1000 Nights”), Chris Brown (“Pills & Automobiles”), Summer Walker (“Stretch You Out”), Roddy Rich (“Tip Toe”) and Metro Boomin (“Calling” from the “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” soundtrack).
Named after “Ace Boogie,” a character in the film “Paid in Full,” and his habit of wearing hoodies, Dubose released his most recent A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie album, “Better Off Alone,” in 2024. He also co-founded Highbridge The Label and appeared at a Syracuse basketball game in 2023 to help recruit player Elijah Moore, who committed to Syracuse University shortly afterwards.
His 2018 performance at the NYS Fair drew some criticism over reports of violence prior to and after his concert. Police said a Syracuse teen was stabbed; two women fell through a glass area while fighting at a food stand; and several videos of fights were posted online at the time.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie will also make another Upstate New York stop on his 2026 tour dates: Feb. 7 at MVP Arena in Albany.
