- The new release follows decades of collaboration between the ambient legend and Talking Heads frontman.
- Brian Eno and David Byrne have co-written a new song, “T-Shirt.”
Out now via Matador Records, the track arrives alongside a visualizer featuring animations of graphic T-shirts emblazoned with different slogans. They include “Make America Gay Again,” “No Kings,” “Fluent In Sarcasm” and “Who Is This Guy?”
The collaboration is far from Eno and Byrne’s first. Eno notably produced a number of Talking Heads albums—including 1978’s More Songs About Buildings And Food, 1979’s Fear of Music and 1980’s Remain in Light—and co-wrote one of their most enduring hits, “Once In A Lifetime.” Byrne and Eno also released a joint album, My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts, in 1981.
Byrne released his most recent solo album, Who Is The Sky?, in September. Back in June, Eno and frequent collaborator Beatie Wolfe shared two new LPs, Luminal and Lateral—just last month, the duo sent Luminal into space with the help of NASA’s Holmdel Horn Antenna.
