It’s been getting particularly chilly in New York City over the past few days. Though we’re still a month away from the official start to winter, as we inch closer and closer to December, we’re reminded just how cold the city gets—and just how exciting sweater weather can be. But while most stars find themselves wrapped in designer scarves or vintage wool coats, not many can take the credit for the designs on their backs. Then again, not many people are Gigi Hadid.
Stepping out in NYC yesterday, the model and businesswoman looked cozy as can be—wearing a long double-breasted coat over loose camel trousers tucked into shearling boots. Her unofficial uniform for the season was built around her own brand, Guest in Residence, which provided not only the outerwear, but her coordinating neck scarf as well.
Designed in shades of chestnut-brown and taupe, her brushed cashmere coat featured a herringbone pattern and a soft, “grizzly-washed” textured, with accent hems that brought its vintage feel to the contemporary age. To pair, her cashmere reversible “Wild Rag” bandana was adorned in a paisley print in similar shades of brown and tan.
Looking outside of Guest in Residence, Hadid slipped into Alameda Turquesa boots with chunky soles and shearling lining. Further fluffy shearling was added to the outside of the foot for an inside-out look, and rainbow beads wrapped the shoe for a pop of color.
Her brand has yet to offer bags as part of their accessories line, so to hold her belongings on her walk, the supermodel turned to Miu Miu—draping their canvas and leather tote over her shoulder. She finished off the look with rectangular sunglasses and pulled her hair back to protect it against the wind.
