In the nine years since they got together, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have lived through many different eras—from their life as senior royals, to their transition into life outside of the palace, to their rise as business owners and new parents in California. But one thing that has never changed is their ability to find fun and wonder in every situation they’re in.
In her December cover story for Harper’s Bazaar, the Duchess of Sussex reflects on one of the first things that attracted her to her now-husband, whom she began dating in 2016 and married in 2018.
“You have someone who just has this childlike wonder and playfulness,” she says of the prince. “I was so drawn to that, and he brought that out in me. That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative.”
That joy for life, from both of them, has made for a happy reality. Meghan and Harry now run their many ventures from the comfort of their Montecito, California, home, where they live with their two children, Prince Archie Harrison, 6, and Princess Lilibet Diana, 4.
“He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t,” Meghan says of her life partner and how he supports her through the rollercoaster that is fame. “No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.”
