Ariana Grande has shocked her fans with an unexpected retirement announcement.
On Tuesday, November 18, during her appearance on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, the 32-year-old Hollywood star revealed her 2026 Eternal Sunshine tour will be her “one last hurrah” as she reflected on retiring from touring and what her life and career might look like in 10 years.
“It’s going to be beautiful and I’m so grateful that — I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah.’ For now,” the Florida native told the former Saturday Night Live star.
Grande didn’t share any more details of her upcoming tour, but she noted that it would be the last one she makes for the foreseeable future.
“I don’t want to say any definitive things. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time,” she said.
Grande also informed Poehler that the past 10 years of her life will be much different from what she plans for her future.
“I think the last 10 to 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,” she said.
Having been focused on her career, the singer noted that she feels “a lot more connected to myself and my art” since she started exploring opportunities outside of making music.
She said, “I spent so much time only doing pop music — but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theater and comedy. So I think the thing that will be best for my soul and also my art and for what I’m giving to myself to, is if I’m chasing things that feel very right in the moment.”
“Even if it’s mundane it needs to be something different. I am doing a movie right now because it’s a role that I read the script and I love it and it’s funny and I love the cast and I’m so excited,” Grande added.
After the premiere of Wicked: For Good, Grande is set to make her return to Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story for Season 13.

Grande is also set to star in Ben Stiller’s upcoming film, Focker-In-Law.
“Then I’m doing a small stint of shows next year because that is something that authentically sounded good to me,” the singer told Poehler. “I think following those authentic impulses feels like a really good idea.”
Buzzing Pop shared the news on X, prompting many fans to express their opinions, with one person writing, “i’m gonna crash the f— out I KNEW IT not getting those tickets hurts so much more now.”
Another added, “One last hurrah? I’m not ready to say goodbye to live screams and high ponytails yet,” as a third said, “I didn’t get tickets for this tour so sweetener world tour was the last time I will ever see her on tour omg.” Yet another penned, “one last hurrah hits different.”
However, there were fans who supported Grande, with one commenting, “This girl needs to go and live her live, unapologetically.”
Another added, “she’s already reached legend status, ariana has proved shes diverse, talented, an overall entertainer, businesswoman, (singing, acting, dancing, modeling, cosmetics) and a superstar. she doesn’t have anything left to prove to anyone, besides maybe herself.”
A third praised, “People change .. I hope she is well.”
Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour will mark her return to touring for the first time in six years, following her Sweetener world tour in 2019.
