The Notre Dame Royals took care of another tough competitor in high school baseball behind Derrin Gumataotao’s complete game on the mound, beating the Tiyan Titans, 7-2, Tuesday evening.
The game was stopped in the 6th inning due to darkness at the Okkodo Field.
The Royals came into the game 3-0 and the Titans 2-0.
Tiyan actually took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning before the Royals tied things in the 3rd and then scored three runs each in the 4th and 5th innings.
“Great all-around team win,” ND manager Joey Taijeron said.
Junior stud Trace Taijeron paved the way going 2-for-3 with a walk, 4 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.
