Meghan Markle has been the subject of mockery by US TV personality Heather McDonald, who insinuated that she and Prince Harry gatecrashed Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration. The comedian took a jab at the Duke and Duchess amid rumors of growing tension between the Royal pair and the Kardashian family matriarch, Kris Jenner, and her daughter, Kim.
Kris celebrated her 70th birthday last week, and photos of Harry and Meghan attending the extravagant party were subsequently removed from Kim’s Instagram account. The reason behind the deletion of these images is disputed.
Representatives for Meghan and Harry have stated that attendees of the party, held at the residence of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, were asked if they consented to their photos being shared publicly. The Duke and Duchess declined this request, a detail they claim was not relayed to the Kardashian family.
During her podcast, Heather discussed the enigma surrounding the deleted photos with guest Zack Peter, asking him: “So what do you think happened? Was it the poppy thing?”.
There have been suggestions that Meghan was displeased with photos showing her without a poppy, unlike Harry, in honor of Remembrance Day.
Peter responded: “I don’t know. I think it was deliberate. My theory was that they [Meghan and Harry] weren’t invited to the party. Maybe they had a publicist or a friend that’s like ‘I’ll get you in’.
“So, they ended up crashing the party after the Baby Gala. So maybe Kris and Kim deleted them because they didn’t want anything to do with them.
“I think they were party crashers. My point is, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez held the party, and they don’t even like Meghan Markle.”
Heather continued: “We knew a couple of days before that it was at the Bezos mansion. Do you think [Meghan] thought, ‘Before we go home to Montecito, let’s do a little loop-de-loop and once we show up, nobody is going to say that we can’t come in’.
“Do you think Kris and Kim removed them because they realised she was never invited? And that p**sed them off? Oh, that’s a good theory.” Zack responded: “Yeah, and they found out, and it’s an immediate cross off the list.”
Kris Jenner pushed back through her team, who informed the Daily Mail that her guests had never provided consent for the photographs to be published, before speculation emerged that Harry and Meghan personally requested the images be removed.
An insider subsequently revealed to the publication: “Meghan is so particular about curating her image and has approval over every photo that goes out.
“She saw those photos and realised how bad she looked compared to every other woman at the party and obviously threw a fit.”
