EXCLUSIVE: UK-Ireland distributor Vertigo Releasing is launching Visions Home Video (VHV), a subdivision label for premium physical format releases of Vertigo-owned titles.

The label will exist under the Vertigo Releasing umbrella, operating as a sub-label. It will be fronted by Vertigo’s head of physical sales Andrew Dillon, and will release “one to two titles a month”, according to Vertigo CEO Rupert Preston.

“UHD [ultra high definition] is the only physical home entertainment format that’s seeing significant year-on-year growth,” said Dillon. “We’re trying to get in on that while it’s in an upswing.”

“We’ve got a library of 350 to 400 films. Library is a huge chunk of what we do,” said Preston. “Visions is a great extension of that. In the last few years, there’s a clearly defined market for brilliantly presented films.”

VHV will conduct premium physical format releases for both library titles and more recent titles.

It will launch with the premium UHD and Blu-ray release of the 4K remaster of Kevin Smith’s 1999 Dogma, starring Smith, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The title had disappeared from the physical market for almost two decades due to a rights dispute between Smith and The Weinstein Company.

The 4K remaster has grossed over $2.2m worldwide from a theatrical release this year, with Vertigo Releasing opening it in the UK & Ireland on November 7. VHV will launch special edition discs on February 2, 2026.

It will be followed by a recent title, Ben Leonberg’s 2025 canine horror film Good Boy, with a full physical release across DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD formats from February 16.

A 4K restoration of Yorgos Lanthimos’s Dogtooth will then land on February 23; before a physical release of James Gunn’s 2006 horror-comedy Slither later in the year, in a 4K edition commissioned by Vertigo.

“The best way forward is to be opportunistic,” said Dillon of the balance between classic and new titles. “We have some classic library titles; but when a new title presents itself as a good option, why not go for it?”
