When Ranvir questioned whether she felt humiliated, Cynthia replied: “Absolutely humiliated, yeah.
“Deeply humiliated, because it was like using something I knew that was a gift for someone else in the wrong way.”
She added: “And it just, yeah, it stays, it has stayed with me for this entire time.
“And it’s probably the one thing that makes me say no when I want to say no, and really use my voice the way I want to.”
Cynthia also offered audiences a glimpse into what awaits them in the eagerly awaited new production Wicked: For Good, the follow-up to last year’s Wicked, where she performed as Elphaba opposite chart-topping artist Ariana Grande as Glinda.
“You’re going to go on a journey with these two women,” she shared with the host, who admitted to being a huge Wicked fan.
“You are going to learn about what they’ve been through in the time you’ve been away from them.”
The actress disclosed that both characters have “grown a lot” since the events of the first film.
“They have been through a lot,” she conveyed. “They still love each other a lot, but they have to go through a lot of things to find their friendship again.”
