Tom Hanks’ Hit $113M Remake Is Now A Global Netflix Streaming Sensation 3 Years Later

A Man Called Otto has become a streaming success three years later. The movie, which debuted in December 2022, is a remake of the Oscar-nominated 2015 Swedish movie A Man Called Ove. The movie, which follows a grouchy widower becoming unlikely friends with his new neighbors, was adapted from the novel of the same name by Fredrik Backman.

The Man Called Otto cast includes Tom Hanks (in the title role), his son Truman Hanks (as Young Otto), Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, Mike Birbiglia, and The Lincoln Lawyer star Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
