Meghan Markle has been playfully teased by Royal enthusiasts who noticed a striking similarity between her recent photoshoot poses and some of the most memorable images of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, recently gave an interview to Harper’s Bazaar and posed for their December 2025/January 2026 issue. She was photographed in a variety of outfits, ranging from a vibrant red dress, a silky number, and a chic black and white ensemble.
Within the images, some eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice that the images bore a striking resemblance to iconic shots of Diana.
In one photo, Meghan is captured sitting barefoot on the floor, legs crossed, fingers clasped, and gazing into the camera. This pose mirrors a famous image taken by renowned celebrity photographer Patrick Demarchelier in 1991, when he collaborated with the late Princess of Wales for Vogue’s December issue that year.
Other images from the photoshoot, including a close-up portrait of Meghan, also seemed to echo Diana’s style, according to fans, reports The Express UK.
A third chimed in, “She doesn’t hold a candle to Diana & never will!”
A fourth remarked, “Wow scary stuff.”
Meanwhile, a fifth speculated, “How long before she copies the hairstyle? We all know she reads this so come on Rachel, do it doooo eeeeet.”
A sixth expressed, “I’m so grossed out by this blatant, constant cosplay.”
Fans aren’t the first to point out similarities between the two royals. In Prince Harry & Meghan’s 2022 Netflix docuseries, the duke mentioned, “So much of what Meghan is and how she is, is so similar to my mum.
“She has the same compassion. She has the same empathy. She has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her,” he added.
Harry and Meghan first connected on July 1, 2016, which would have been his mother’s 55th birthday.
