This weekend, catch the opening of Baltimore’s German-style Christmas village along the Inner Harbor waterfront, view the elaborate holiday train garden at the Shops at Kenilworth, and more.

Bit Brigade, Galactic Empire, and Button Masher, Thursday, Nov. 20, doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Enjoy music from video games and other media performed by the bands Bit Brigade, Galactic Empire, and Button Masher.

Hair, Thursday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 23, Vagabond Players. It’s the final weekend for Vagabond Players’ production of “Hair.” The rock musical tells the story of a group of long-haired navigating political activism, sexual revolution, and a fight against the Vietnam War draft. The production is recommended for mature audiences.

Grown Up Field Trip in Space, Friday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Maryland Science Center. Enjoy a cosmic cocktail, test pilot and sample pieces of the science center’s new “Space” exhibit, play party games, and more. This is event is for attendees aged 21 and older.

Bingo at the Zoo, Friday, Nov. 21, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Maryland Zoo. Play bingo and have a chance to score a prize-filled basket. Each basket is valued at a minimum of $100. A ticket gets you a 20-game bingo packet, two drink tickets (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and an opportunity to meet and greet the zoo’s animal ambassadors.

I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY….before 9pm…An early bird dance party! Friday, Nov. 21, 6 p.m., Ottobar. Grab your legwarmers and fire up that crimping iron as DJ Mikie Love brings all the hits from the 80’s.

Holiday Train Garden, Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, The Shops at Kenilworth. Stop by the lower level during all mall hours to see the annual Train Garden display. The train garden will be on view through Jan. 4.

Cheers to 30 Years: AVAM’s Birthday Bash, Saturday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Celebrate 30 years of visionary art with family-friendly festivities, including guided tours, art-making, birthday cake, artist meet-and-greets, and more—all included in the price of admission.

The Magic of Merryland, Saturday, Nov. 22, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Harbor East. Kick off the holiday season with live music, holiday treats, train rides, pet photos with Santa, and the second annual Merryland Tree lighting.

Christmas Village, Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, Inner Harbor waterfront. It’s the opening weekend of the German Christmas Village in Baltimore. Sip hot cocoa, eat bratwurst, shop an array of vendors, and enjoy the Christmastime atmosphere along the city’s Inner Harbor waterfront. The village will run through Dec. 24.

ICON: The Voices That Changed Music, Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Singers Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw will join the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for performances of songs from voices that changed music, including Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley, Diana Ross, and Stevie Wonder.

BRB (Baltimore Record Bazaar) Holiday Edition, Sunday, Nov. 23, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Peabody Heights Brewery. This free, family-friendly event features live DJS, craft beer, Underground Pizza Co., and 33+ vendors with vinyl, tapes, CDs, stereos, books/comics, art, vintage, music memorabilia, and more.

Fort Garrison Frontier Open House, Sunday, Nov. 23, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Fort Garrison. Attend guided tours of the stone fort, participate in hands-on historical activities, and sample 17th-century recipes in this open house of one of the oldest standing structures in Baltimore County.

Talib Kweli, Sunday, Nov. 23, doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m, Baltimore Soundstage. Talib Kweli returns to Baltimore Soundstage with special guests MC Bravado and Nature Boi.
