In the run-up to New Year’s Eve, people are usually excited to ditch the current year…and 2025 is no exception.
Concerts are the best way to ring in the new year for a few reasons: You do more dancing than talking; you get to listen to multiple acts; they’re great places to meet new friends with similar tastes; and it truly doesn’t matter if you have anyone to kiss when midnight hits.
Denver has a host of concerts where you can celebrate New Year’s Eve, from a wild ritualistic concert at the newly opened Federal Theatre to a rave at the Bluebird Theater. Take your pick below:
Magdalena Bay
Mission Ballroom, 4242 Wynkoop Street
Magdalena Bay will bring its alternative pop to the Mission. The Miami-born duo is praised for its melodic hooks and visual components that have made it an up-and-coming standout.

Itchy-O
Federal Theatre, 3830 Federal Boulevard
Itchy-O is one of Denver’s most interesting groups. The masked drum troupe presents its concerts as rituals, and the NYE event, dubbed Saturnalia, is the perfect (and extraordinarily unique) way to enter a new year. Wheelchair Sports Camp and the Dream Eaters are also on the bill.
Decadence NYE
Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street
Decadence is a New Year’s rave tradition, and this year it’s ramping up the heat with a stellar lineup that includes Zeds Dead, Of the Trees, Disco Lines, Excision, Jade Cicada, Kaskade, Illenium, Netsky, Subtronics, Troiboi and more.
The Budos Band
Gothic Theatre, 3263 South Broadway, Englewood
The Budos Band has been described as a “doom-rock, Afro-soul big band with a ’70s touch.” If you’re intrigued, head to the Gothic.
Lipgloss
hi-dive, 7 South Broadway
Lipgloss is one of Denver’s longest running DJ celebrations of niche indie music, from new wave to Brit pop. Check it out at the hi-dive.
The Fretliners
Fox Theatre, 1135 13th Street, Boulder
Bluegrass band the Fretliners will be picking its way into 2026 at the Fox in Boulder. The band blends old traditions and modern movements in its sound, which had the band winning competitions at Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass.
Golden Era Rave: A Night of EDM Classics
Bluebird Theater, 3317 East Colfax Avenue
Walk into the Bluebird dripping in gold. The NYE show will present a rave filled with all the EDM classics.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong
Ogden Theatre, 935 East Colfax Avenue
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will be at the Ogden for a two-night run that culminates on New Year’s Eve. This is the jam band’s first NYE run in Colorado, where it’s garnered a swah of fans over the years.
The New Mastersounds
Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom, 2637 Welton Street
British fourpiece the New Mastersounds is bringing its signature bluesy jazz fusion and funk to Cervantes’. You want the funk? Gotta have New Mastersounds. The Nth Power will open the show.
DeadPhish Orchestra
Cervantes’ Other Side, 2637 Welton Street
While the New Mastersounds play in the Ballroom, Cervantes’ Other Side will host DeadPhish Orchestra and Splendid Blend. Hear the music of the Dead and Phish, and try not to debate which band’s better.
Dead Floyd
Globe Hall, 4483 Logan Street
The music of the Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd converge for the New Year’s celebration at Globe Hall.
The ’80s vs ’90s New Year’s Eve Spectacular
Oriental Theater, 4335 West 44th Avenue
DJ DMX and Kevin Seitz will be spinning music from two musical-breakthrough decades. Celebrate the future and the past, as you welcome the new year with tunes from decades past.
