Travis Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, will experience their first Christmas since their engagement this year. While fans expected the couple to fly to Europe for a romantic holiday, reports reveal their plans are surprisingly grounded.
“It will be very low-key, family-centric and [won ’t involve any] major travel,” an insider shared in Us Weekly’s latest cover story.
In fact, the duo will not spend the holidays together. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to be with his family after playing the game against the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.
“Travis fits right in with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They talk all the time,” the source said. “They make sure to see both sides as often as they can. They are super family-oriented, and they have always loved that about one another.”

Swift concluded the Eras Tour in December last year and has since focused on her relationship. After dating for two years, the duo lit up fandom by announcing their engagement in August.
Before planning another tour in 2026, Swift wants to spend ample time with her family, which includes this Christmas. There are also the wedding plans, as the couple is aiming for the summer of 2026.
“With both of their high-profile careers, it feels good to have simplicity and normalcy together,” a source close to the pair shared with Ryan Hudgins of US Weekly, while a separate insider added, “Taylor and Travis are really chill. On a typical night in, they’re usually having dinner and figuring out what to stream. It’s very domestic and calm.”
Both celebrities lead a busy life. For them, normalcy is a luxury, and this upcoming season will serve as the perfect time to enjoy some.
“They don’t want a long engagement,” reveals the source, adding that Swift and Kelce “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
