Participants may choose between the untimed 2-mile walk, 2-mile fun run, or timed 5-mile run, with dogs welcome for the lively 2-mile Dog Jog. The event begins at 8 a.m., and all registrants receive goodies including a long-sleeve T-shirt, pumpkin pie, coupons, snacks, a bib, and a custom bandana for participating pets.
  • When: 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27
  • Where: Starts at Red Arrow Park, 1930 S. Ninth St.

Shop & Sip Holiday Vendor Event

  • What to know: Shoppers can enjoy a festive afternoon of browsing local vendors at the Shop & Sip Holiday Vendor Event! Held inside Bricks Downtown Bar & Grill’s beautifully renovated Cornerstone Lounge, this market brings together a variety of small businesses offering scarves, handmade jewelry, apothecary items, creative gifts and more. Guests can sip, shop and explore unique finds while supporting local makers on Small Business Saturday. With vendors like Amanda Jo, Cassie Klackner, Gaia’s Moon & Sun Apothecary, Jenny Laine Creates and many others, there’s something for everyone.
  • When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29

  • What to know: Maritime history enthusiasts can enjoy an engaging afternoon as author Thomas Nelson presents insights from his book, “Wrecked: The Edmund Fitzgerald and the Sinking of the American Economy.” Hosted at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, this talk explores how the loss of the famed ship shaped both Great Lakes shipping and America’s working economy. Attendees can participate in a Q&A following the presentation. Nelson will also be available to sign books, with copies for sale in the Museum Store.
