PANAMA CITY — Two new businesses are set to open in Bay County in December.
A new Costa Family McDonald’s is set to open near Bayou George, and a new Cumberland Farms has a grand opening in Panama City.
The Cumberland Farms reopening is set to take place at 2899 W. 23rd St. from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 2. A release from the company says that there will be Monster Energy tastings and giveaways, a “Zyn Activation Trailer” with rewards and coupons, free fried chicken samples, along with discounted frozen beverages and breakfast sandwiches.
“The new store features a full Krispy Krunchy Chicken restaurant, one of the fastest-growing hot food concepts in the convenience industry, as well as the complete Cumberland Farms foodservice program, offering fresh pizza, pastries, sandwiches, and roller-grill items,” reads the release.
The opening of the new Costa Family McDonald’s will also take place on Dec. 2 at 4530 Highway 390 East. A ribbon cutting kicks off the event at 9:30 a.m. followed by a “grand opening celebration” at 10:30 a.m.
A release from the franchisee says that the first 50 drive-thru customers will receive free Happy Meals for a year. The Bay County Chamber of Commerce will be present for the ribbon-cutting, and a performance from the Bay Haven Charter Academy band is slated for the event.
“We are committed to growing with the community in Bay County,” said David Costa Jr., Costa Family McDonald’s owner/operator, in the release. “We are pleased to add 54 new jobs to the area and welcome new employees to our team as we look to give great service to the North Bay area residents.”
The Costa Family franchise runs McDonald’s locations throughout northwest Florida, according to the release.
