This year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, a Norway spruce, stands 75-feet-tall and is 45 feet in diameter.
It was cut down from a yard in East Greenbush in Rensselaer County, New York, a suburb of Albany. The approximately 75-year-old evergreen was donated by the Russ family, who owns the property it grew on. “I’m excited to make more cherished memories with my family and childhood friends as it becomes the world’s Christmas tree,” Judy Russ, who lives on the property’s home, told The Center Magazine.
