Mark Lazarus made a name for himself as a skilled leader at the start of this century in his role of running Turner Sports, a position which he filled so well that Turner soon had him leading all of entertainment. Lazarus left Turner after 18 years with the company, and began what has been a 14-year run at NBCU. Under Lazarus’ leadership, the company forged new deals with the Olympics, NFL, NASCAR and Premier League, among many others, as he rose to the role of chair of NBCUniversal Media Group. Now, Lazarus has a new challenge coming: CEO of the Versant spinoff.
