Triumph announced its 50th anniversary tour on Tuesday, which is also the band’s first tour since 1993.

The tour includes 24 shows across North America, starting April 22 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and concluding on June 6 in Boston.

A ticket pre-sale starts Thursday while a general on sale starts Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

“Our fans have always been the heart of Triumph,” the band said in a statement, per Consequence. “Their energy, their belief, and the way they embraced the positivity in our music have carried us for fifty years. We’ve always said these songs were meant to bring people together — and that’s exactly why we’re coming back now. We knew there was still a chapter left to write. This tour is our chance to do it, together with the people who made the Triumph journey possible.”

The tour will feature original Triumph singer-guitarist Rik Emmett, bassist-keyboardist Mike Levine and drummer-vocalist Gil Moore. Guitarist-vocalist Phil X, who was a member in the 1990s, will also be part of the lineup.

Emmett, Levine and Moore co-founded Triumph near Toronto in 1975 and released their first album in 1976. They were known for hard rock/heavy metal hits such as “Lay It On the Line,” “Magic Power,” “Fight the Good Fight,” “Hold On,” “I Live for the Weekend” and “Rock N Roll Machine.”

Triumph released nine albums in the ‘70s and ‘80s before Emmett left in 1988 to pursue a solo career. Phil X replaced Emmett on the final Triumph album, “Edge of Excess,” in 1992 before going on hiatus in 1993.

Triumph have played only four times since their hiatus, Louder reported. The band performed a pair of festival shows in 2008, a three-song performance at Toronto’s Metalworks Studio in 2019 and another short set before Game Two of this year’s NHL Stanley Cup Finals in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The band was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame in 2007, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2019. Triumph was also honored by the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame this past October.
