Jinger Duggar made a bold declaration about Taylor Swift when asked if she considered the pop superstar “demonic” during a conversation with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, on their podcast.
On the Wednesday, Dec. 10 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, titled “Are Disney and Taylor Swift Demonic?” Jinger recalled going to see the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film when it was released in theaters in 2023.
Although she was not familiar with nearly any of Swift’s music, Jinger said she went to the movie with a group of mom friends. And in hindsight, she was glad that Jeremy and their kids—Felicity, 7, Evangeline, 5, and Finnegan, almost 9 months—weren’t there with her.
“I was sitting there thinking, ‘OK, I’m glad that my husband’s not here for a couple sections where she went, like, into sensual stuff,” Jinger recalled. “And I thought, ‘This is just really, it’s dark. It also felt like she was trying to communicate something that, as Christians, I don’t think was pure.”

The former reality star, 31, continued, “Also, when you think of things through, like, the lens of your kids, I was also like, ‘Man, I’m glad my daughter isn’t here, too. Because she’s 7, and she could look at that as like, ‘Oh, that’s who I want to be.’ And ultimately, all we want for her is to love Jesus.”
Additionally, Jinger admitted, “Honestly, that was like my first exposure to Taylor Swift. I didn’t know any of her songs.”
Jinger, her 18 siblings, and their parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, starred on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting and its spinoff, Counting On. The Duggars were raised under Bill Gothard‘s Institute for Basic Life Principles, which focused on homeschooling, modest dress, gender roles, and purity before marriage.
Both shows were canceled following separate scandals involving Michelle and Jim Bob’s eldest son, Josh Duggar, who is currently in prison.
