“This is when a president needs to show empathy, demonstrate the plight of hard-working Americans and — oh, no. As I’m saying this, I’m remembering who I’m talking about and realizing there’s no fucking way he’s going to do that,” Meyers said.
When asked by Politico’s Dasha Burns how he’d grade the economy, Trump swiftly answered “A-plus” before jacking up the rating to “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus.”
Meyers joked that Trump was actually “glitching” before noting that the assessment was “very much at odds with how pretty much everyone else feels” about the economy.
“So it’s less of an A-plus-plus-plus-plus and more of an F-minus-minus-minus-minus-minus,” Meyers quipped.
