Shlømo & Sara Landry, Adriatique & More

This week in dance music: The king David Guetta became the first artist in history to clock 20 No. 1s on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, with “Gone, Gone Gone” (with Teddy Swims and Tones and I) earning Guetta the distinction — and also marking his fourth No. 1 of 2025 on the chart, a new single-year record.

Fred again.. played the penultimate show of his 10 songs/10 shows/10 cities run with a very hyphy set in San Francisco that came in tandem his new track “Solo”, a collab with South London rapper Blanco.. Electric Forest 2026 announced a lineup including Illenium, Kaskade, Sammy Virji, ISOxo and The String Cheese Incident for its annual woodsy bash in Michigan in June.

Patrick Moxey’s Payday Publishing ended its legal war with Sony and Ultra Records, settling a copyright lawsuit that was the last remaining element of its long legal entanglement with Sony. Mau P was announced as one of the three headliners for Billboard Presents THE STAGE at SXSW 2026, with the series happening March 13-15 and also featuring Don Toliver and Junior H.

Meanwhile, Empire of the Sun announced the lineup for its inaugural Chrysalis festival, with Disclosure, The Flaming Lips, Magdalena Bay and more on the bill for the fest this May in Mexico, and Movement announced the phase one lineup for its fest in Detroit over Memorial Day Weekend.

HAAi shared 100 minutes of bangers via the set she played at September’s Making Time festival, a performance she nearly missed due to a flight delay, and Fatboy Slim officially released his longstanding and much-loved mashup of The Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and his own “The Rockafeller Skank.”

We also caught up with melodic bass favorite Seven Lions on the occasion of his new album, Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars, out today via the artist’s own Ophelia Records.

And, in the final roundup of the year, these are the best new dance tracks of the week.

Billboard VIP Pass

  • Shlømo & Sara Landry, “Control Your Body”

French techno producer Shlømo and American hard techno hero Sara Landry reunite for the hectic and pummeling industrial techno track “Control Your Body,” which can be considered a companion piece to their first collab “Play With Me” from Landry’s 2024 debut album, Spiritual Driveby. This new one is the lead single from Shlømo’s upcoming album Heartcore, coming next year.

“Control Your Body” is out on Taapion. Listen to it here.

  • Hercules & Love Affair, Someone Else Is Calling

The story goes that Hercules & Love Affair’s Andy Butler moved to Belgium and reignited his love of dance music, evidence of which is all over Someone Else Is Calling, a collaborative EP with Elín Ey’s Hips & Lips project. The two acts came together while Butler was producing an indie/country/rock projects for Hips & Lips, with a pair intent on writing a club-focused project. The four resulting tracks contain all of the style and moody sensualism that have long be the H&LA calling card, with vocals from Hips & Lips adding extra attitude.

Someone Else Is Calling is out on StrataSonic Records. Listen to it here.

  • ALP, “Raw”

Today, American tech house producer Westend launches Kick & Bass Records, a hub created born out of artist giving one-on-one production lessons during lockdown. This initiative ultimately evolved into an online home for more then 600 emerging tech house and house artists to talk, exchange advice and music, collaborate and find community. Kick & Bass Records will release music from this collective, with the first of the bunch being the driving tech-house rager “Raw” from rising artist ALP.

Westend says Kick & Bass is designed to offer a built-in support system for each release, with the community showing up to give each other pre-saves, social amplification and support across DSPs. “Not everyone we sign will have a big profile or long touring history,” Westend says in a statement. “But the community lifts each other up. That’s what makes Kick & Bass special.”

    Listen to “Raw” here.

  • Francis Mercier & Mark Borino, “All My Life”

Haitian star Francis Mercier links with silken-voiced singer Mark Borino for the deeply atmosphere and emotive “All My Life,” an ode to looking for that special someone for your whole life, and then finding them. The track marks the launch of the new Solèly label from Mercier, who says the track “was written from a place of hope. It’s about the search and desire for building deeper connections with people, and to be courageously vulnerable while doing so.”

“All My Life” is out on Solèly. Listen to it here.

  • Adriatique, ‘Never Alone’

Swiss duo Adriatique link with Yubik and Vincent Vossen, a hard-hitting melodic techno track that packs an emotional punch too. The track is out on the duo’s own X Recordings, with X also being the name of the event the pair will play at Zamna in Tulum on Jan. 7, with appearances at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella to follow.

    Listen to “Never Alone” here.
