Drew and Jonathan Scott, who grew up in Maple Ridge, have become reality TV celebrities – specifically renovating homes while having fun in the process.

A pair of Maple Ridge twins, made famous by their numerous home and renovation television shows, have a new title hitting the airwaves soon.

In announcing its original content slate for 2025-26, Bell Media noted the Scott Brothers will be releasing “Make Yourself Over,” among the network’s new programs.

Drew and Jonathan Scott, the twins who brought you “Property Brothers” and numerous off-shoots, were given a greenlight from Crave for the new unscripted competition series called “Make Yourself Over,” which will see contestants attempt to create iconic looks, “flipping the makeover format on its head,” said Sean Cohan, president of Bell Media.

There are 16 episodes, 30 minutes each, so far edited and ready for release. It’s described as a fast-paced competition series that sees contestants trying – and failing – to recreate iconic looks that capitalize on popular beauty trends and genres.

But the makeover show isn’t the only news out of the twin lately.

Just the other day, Drew and Jonathan also announced they are at it again with a brand-new TV show, and this time, they’re headed out West.

The first episode of “Chasing the West” will premiere on July 10 on HGTV, in which the brothers embrace their rancher roots, “and taking their cowboy skills to a new frontier by helping families swap their city subway cards for a new life on the range.”

Each episode will follow Drew and Jonathan as they help families who want to own their own land or escape the hustle and bustle of city life to find solace in the countryside.

This season, they’ll be travelling the beautiful country landscapes of Arizona, California, and Texas.

The duo will help these folks adapt to these new ways of living – like the slower pace, tending to livestock, and growing produce themselves.

They’ll guide them through how to navigate the ins and outs, and all the challenges that come with it. Viewers will even see Drew and Jonathan rediscover some of their own favourite rancher activities like horseback riding, off-roading, and lassoing.

“We grew up on a ranch in some of the most beautiful country around, and now we’re helping a new generation of people achieve that dream,” Drew said.

Adapting to a slower pace sounds like a dream for these families – and Drew and Jonathan are there to help set homebuyers up for success so that those dreams can come true.

It’s not as simple as you might think, though, noted Jonathan. This new way of living certainly has a learning curve.

“The lessons we’ve learned and our passion for the ways of the West made us who we are, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world,” he said.

There will be eight hour-long episodes in Season 1 of “Chasing the West.” And if that’s not enough, the duo confirmed a new season of “Celebrity IOU” is on the night before. And also out in July, they’re expected to release the newest season of “Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers.”

The boys were born in Vancouver, but as young children moved with their family to Maple Ridge and spent their formative years on a horse farm and graduated from Thomas Haney Secondary.

“We’ve been performers for as long as we can remember. We were always looking for ways to entertain our friends and family… One of our first jobs was dressing up as clowns for parties when we were kids. True story,” said Jonathan, who tells that he aspired to be an illusionist, while his twin wanted to be an actor from a young age.

The Scott brothers were 18 when the university students bought and flipped their first property, just outside of Calgary, with only $250 down. They ended up making a $50,000 profit.

Drew Scott went on to become a licensed realtor, while Jonathan studied construction and design. They began working in the real estate and design fields to financially support themselves as entertainers. But after a decade of working in the industry, they were finally approached to do their first television show.

While they now operate an international entertainment production company and many other businesses, it started with Dividian Production Group – an independent film company that the twins, along with their older brother J.D., founded in 2002.

“We’ve always been entrepreneurs, too. And builders, and tinkerers, and risk-takers. And we’ve been incredibly blessed to do what we love for a living. What started as a single TV show has grown into an entire world of entertaining and remodelling,” noted Drew, listing off the Property Brothers shows, their production companies,  the “Builder Brothers” children’s book series, and their Scott Living and Drew & Jonathan Home lines of furnishings and decor, as examples.

On the entertainment end of things, the boys have had numerous reality TV spinoff shows since the first episodes of “Property Brothers” turned them into home and lifestyle celebrities.

Other shows have included “Property Brothers At Home on the Ranch,” “Brothers Take New Orleans,” “Property Brothers Forever Home,” “Property Brothers At Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House,” “Property Brothers Linda & Drew Say I Do,” “Property Brothers At Home,” “Buying and Selling with the Property Brothers,” “Brother Vs. Brother,” “My Dream Home,” and one of their most popular now is “Celebrity IOU.”
