On Dec. 2o, Ariana Grande hosted Saturday Night Live for the third time. In photos shared by actress Elizabeth Gillies, it seems that her boyfriend, Ethan Slater, was by her side through out the night.
The carousel was dedicated to Grande, with a warm shout out to Bowen Yang, who surprised fans by announcing it would be his last show on the iconic comedy series. Taken mainly in the show’s green room and various offices, Slater can be seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and brown pants, posing with other SNL stars and writers.
In a later photo, Grande appears to be giving a toast and Slater is by her side, holding a glass of something sparkling.
“Nobody does it like you, dingus,” Gillies wrote. “What a treat it is to watch you use your many talents and gifts and use them so effortlessly well. Another brilliant episode. Not to mention- it was the marvelous @fayedunaway’s last episode. AND- CHER! PLUS CHRISTMAS! I fear my heart might’ve grown three sizes last night. 🎄”
In April of this year, both Slater and Grande were in attendance when Gillies performed in her Broadway show Little Shop of Horrors. Gillies shared more pics of the couple with her and the cast backstage at the time. “THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE SHOP, MY DINGUS!! 😭♥️🪴” she wrote in the caption.
On the night of Grande’s episode, gossip Instagram DeuxMoi also shared a photo that was allegedly of Slater as he headed up to hang with the Saturday Night Live team. The couple met on set filming Wicked and Wicked: For Good, with Grande cast as Galinda and Slater as Boq.
