Lola Young has made her first public appearance since she collapsed mid-song at a music festival in New York City earlier this year.
The “Messy” singer attended Lily Allen’s Christmas party in London on Friday, Dec. 19.
Young, 24, posted for photos with the host and Olivia Rodrigo, as seen in Allen’s Instagram post from the event.
“West End Winter Wonderland,” the caption on the post read.
Young also broke her social media hiatus when she shared a message on her Instagram Saturday.
“I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place. I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know,” Young in the post.
“I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams. Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026,” she continued. “Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well. All my love always, Lola.”
The English singer previously said she would be “going away for a while” following her collapse at the All Things Go Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York on Sept. 27.
In videos posted on social media, Young was seen swaying before dropping her microphone and falling backwards. After the performance, the “One Thing” singer canceled her remaining shows to prioritize her mental health and well-being, including performance at All Things Go Festival in Washington, D.C. the day after the onstage incident.
“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this,” Young wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “I hope you’ll give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care.”
The Grammy-nominated singer has been openly going through a difficult period prior to the collapse. The day before the incident, Young also pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, with her manager Nick Shymansky citing a “sensitive matter” related to mental health, Billboard reported.
“Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” he had previously written on Instagram. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Young released her third studio album a week after the incident as well.
