Kate Hudson Set to Perform at Aspen Snow Ball Gala

Kate Hudson is heading to Aspen this spring as the headliner for the Aspen Snow Ball Gala, an annual event that bring A-list stars and performers to Colorado to benefit the Children’s Oncology Support Fund.

Hot off awards season buzz for her role in the new musical drama, Song Sung Blue, Hudson will bring her singing talents to the stage at the March 21 event, which takes place at the St. Regis Aspen Resort, now far from where she grew up in Colorado. This year’s edition is the 4th annual Snow Ball Gala and will feature a “Pure Imagination” theme inspired by Willy Wonka, with the St. Regis ballroom set to be transformed into a “modern reincarnation of the famed Chocolate Factory,” per press materials. Organizers say the theme is also a nod to Willy Wonka’s golden ticket — the golden ticket being remission.

In addition to Hudson’s performance, the event will be hosted by Chelsea Handler and feature other celebrity guests to be announced later. Previous Snow Ball Galas have brought out the likes of Diana Ross, Nile Rodgers, Robin Thicke and Macy Gray. Last year’s event featured a headlining performance from Zara Larsson followed by a DJ set from Mia Moretti.

The Aspen Snow Ball Gala and the Children’s Oncology Support Fund (COSF) is the brainchild of film producer and philanthropist Thomas Pierce. In a press release, Pierce calls the gala an event where “philanthropy and entertainment work together to make an impact happen,” adding that as a native of Aspen, Hudson “brings an authenticity to the gala taking place in a town she calls home. We are so excited to have her on the Aspen Snow Ball stage, and grateful for her support to help push our remission forward.”

COSF helps to fund research and awareness of treatment options for pediatric cancer patients across the country. Since its inception in January 2023, organizers say COSF has raised more than $7 million for pediatric cancer research and wellness programs.

As for Hudson, her singing gig comes on the heels of her well-received debut album, Glorious, which was released last year.
