The NFL’s extended Christmas weekend began with Netflix, for the second year, exclusively live-streaming two games — the Dallas Cowboys defeating Washington Commanders (30-23), and the Minnesota Vikings surprising Detroit Lions (23-10) — followed by the final “Thursday Night Football” game of the 2025 season (Denver Broncos holding off Kansas City Chiefs, 20-13) on Prime Video.
Peacock and CBS/Paramount+ live-stream two NFL games on Saturday (Dec. 27), followed by the remaining NFL schedule on Dec. 28.
Last year’s Netflix games were the two most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the U.S., and over 30 million viewers globally, according to Netflix.
Like last year, CBS Sports produced the 2025 Netflix games, with NFL Media producing the pre, post, and studio halftime programming.
Netflix’s Christmas Day games featured a host of ancillary entertainment, including Emmy, Grammy Award–winning Kelly Clarkson opening the Gameday live-stream performing her holiday hit, “Underneath the Tree.”

Snoop Dogg headlined Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during the Lions game that featured a surprise performance from Italian vocalists Andrea Bocelli and son Matteo Bocelli, Grammy–winning country music star and reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson plus the singing trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami from Netflix’s hit animated musical KPop Demon Hunters — the streamer’s most popular movie ever with 325.1 million global views.

Outside Northwest Stadium, comedian and actor Bert Kreischer reported live from the Commanders’ tailgate where he sampled food, picking the two best spreads for the final judgement. To make this final call, Bert was joined by Anthony Anderson, host of Netflix’s upcoming live series, “Star Search.”
The show premieres on Jan. 20 and airs for five weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Live at 9pmET/6pmPT.
Bert promoted his upcoming scripted comedy series “Free Bert” on Netflix, Jan. 22.
Another promo included One Piece: Into the Grand Line second season, premiering on March 10. The promo spotlighted starred Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, Charithra Chandran and Mikaela Hoover.
