Americans have gotten creative when it comes to ringing in the New Year, from unique ball drops to live entertainment to mid-day parties for the kiddos. Some ambitious troopers actually stay up through midnight; others are fast asleep by 10.
Whichever way you choose to celebrate, here are some local gatherings to consider in your plans:
New Year’s Eve Gala with Jaded Soul
The Adrian Eagles will host their annual New Year’s Eve Gala at 2570 Beecher Road. This year’s celebration features Jaded Soul, a popular local cover band performing 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. You can purchase tickets for $20 per person in advance at the organization’s home.
New Year’s Eve Glow Party
Not interesting in staying up late? Celebrate early at Lenawee District Library’s Glow Party running 2-3:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at 4459 W. US-223.
The event includes games, snacks and crafts inspired by bright neon and glowing colors. All ages are welcome!
