Jennifer Aniston is showing a new level of openness in her relationship with Jim Curtis, according to a December 31 report from Us Weekly. “Jen is more public with Jim because she feels confident in their relationship and where it’s going,” one source told the outlet. A second source added, “They are solidly in the ‘This feels different’ zone. There are no games, and there’s no hiding.”
Us Weekly reports that Aniston and the hypnotist were introduced by a mutual friend and quietly began dating earlier this year. The first source described the relationship as a slow burn: “It’s always a slow burn at first for Jen,” they said, noting that she was initially cautious, but Curtis’s “consistency” helped her open up.
The second source highlighted how their bond has grown, saying, “As time goes by, they uncover another layer about each other.” The same source added, “She finally feels secure enough to share without any fear. Jen’s saying this is her person. She wouldn’t do that unless she was sure. She’s tired of hiding her joy.”
Subtle signs of the romance began appearing in the spring. In May, Aniston shared a carousel of photos that included Curtis’s book, Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide, and started regularly liking his Instagram posts, including a reel about finding love in June, according to Us Weekly.
Since then, the couple’s connection has seemingly strengthened. They spent Thanksgiving with mutual friends and were seen grabbing brunch in New York City’s West Village on November 29. “He’s brought her so much happiness and security that she feels comfortable sharing,” the first Us Weekly source said. “Things have progressed. They are very serious at this point.” They’re also reportedly planning a vacation, possibly in Aspen, according to the second source.
Curtis has appeared alongside Aniston at industry events as well. He attended the September premiere of The Morning Show’s fourth season and supported her at ELLE’s Women in Hollywood event in November. According to the second Us Weekly source, Curtis is comfortable with public attention. “Jim’s whole career has been supported by working with high-profile people, so cameras and gossip don’t rattle him. He’s been around fame, so it’s not shocking to him, but it also doesn’t govern his life. He’s down to earth,” they said, adding that he and Aniston “are laughing about [the attention] instead of stressing over it.”
Both Us Weekly insiders also highlighted the couple’s mutual interest in wellness. The first source noted, “Jen has taken a very holistic approach to life in the last five years, and that’s what they bond over. They are both heavily into wellness and mindfulness and meditation.”
The second source added that Curtis helps Aniston “find balance” and slow down from her typically busy schedule; they also share “a weird sense of humor” and enjoy similar hobbies, including watching documentaries and caring for rescue dogs. “Friends say they finish each other’s sentences in a way that’s almost spooky because they are so connected,” the first source said.
Per Us Weekly, the couple is navigating a bicoastal relationship, with Aniston in Los Angeles and Curtis in New York. Sources told the outlet that they travel back and forth together and spend extended periods in each other’s cities as they work through the challenges of distance. “They are homebodies who value connection over flashy nights out,” said the second source.
As for marriage, the first source said Aniston isn’t ruling it out, “but it’s not a priority for her.” They added, “She’s loving this phase and is very happy.”
In her November 2025 ELLE Women in Hollywood interview, Aniston opened up about Curtis and what she admires about him. “Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” she said. “He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.
