The reality star sat down with country music legend Dolly Parton for her podcast, Khloé In Wonderland, where, at one point, they spoke about the inspiration behind the 9-to-5 star’s signature look. Khloé Kardashian Jokes With Dolly Parton About ‘Natural’ Beauty
Five months ago, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star sat down for an interview with none other than pop culture icon Dolly Parton for an in-depth interview and episode of her viral podcast, Khloé In Wonderland.
The pair talked about all sorts of things. Still, at one point in the conversation, in a resurfaced clip, things turned to the topic of beauty, and more specifically, what inspired Dolly’s signature looks, which often consist of loud, colorful outfits, voluminous wigs, dramatic makeup, and more.
“My look came from a country girl’s idea of glam,” Dolly humbly admitted. “We didn’t have anything, and I wasn’t a natural beauty like some of you girls are.”
As the “Jolene” singer gestured towards Khloé, she took a moment to clarify something about her ‘natural beauty.’
“Well, this isn’t natural either, baby,” she joked.
“Well, I wasn’t,” responded Dolly. “And I wanted to be pretty more than anything.”

The Kardashian family is notorious for their evolving appearances, and many believe that their use of plastic surgery and other cosmetic treatments, along with their fame, has forever made its mark on beauty standards around the world. However, in the last few years, several of the famous sisters, and their mom, Kris Jenner, have begun opening up about the procedures they’ve undergone and cosmetic treatments they dabble in, keeping up a more ‘real’ conversation with their fans.
Over the summer, after years of speculation, the mom-of-two broke her silence on what kind of work she’s had done in an Instagram comment, responding to an aesthetic doctor’s video on her face.
“First off, I think these photos are about 15 years apart, but here’s a list of things that I have done,” she wrote. “I’ve been very open in the past about what I have done, so here we go.”
After listing that she had a nose job years ago, she also admitted to “laser hair for the hairline and everywhere else,” as well as Botox and “sculptra,” which she received after having a face tumor removed from her cheek. She also noted she had “filler in the past,” soft wave lasers for “skin tightening,” and even brought up he 80-lb weight loss, which changed the appearance of her face.
