Prince William & Princess Catherine’s annual income revealed in report – NBC 7 San Diego

Prince William and Princess Catherine have an income suited for royalty.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ income from the Duchy of Cornwall estate has been revealed as part of its Integrated Annual Report from June, which takes a look at the 2024-2025 financial year.

The 43-year-old — who inherited the Duchy of Cornwall title and estate from King Charles III when his dad ascended the throne in 2022 — and Catherine took in $30.9 million (or £22.9 million) to cover the public, private and charitable expenses for them and their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

The Duchy of Cornwall estate, which is worth over $1 billion, was established in 1337 by King Edward III to cover the expenses of the eldest son of the British monarch. It’s comprised of over 130,000 acres of land, farms and more across 23 counties in England.

While William and Catherine are two years into their Duke and Duchess of Cornwall titles, they’ll take on even more responsibility next year.

The couple will step into their roles as Grantors of Royal Warrants in Spring 2026 thanks to Charles granting them the titles earlier this year.

In their new roles, William and Catherine will have the authority to publicly endorse their favorite brands.

A Grantor of Royal Warrants has the power to bestow a Royal Warrant of Appointment to a company or individual who has supplied “products or services on a regular and ongoing basis” to the Royal Household for at least five of the last seven years, according to the Royal Warrant Holders Association’s website.

Put simply, a Grantor of Royal Warrants gives recognition to the royal family’s “preferred product or service,” per the website.

Once a company or individual is granted a Royal Warrant, they are given “the right to display the appropriate Royal Arms on their product, packaging, stationery, advertising, premises and vehicles” for the five-year warrant period, per the website.

Royal journalist Richard Palmer told Town & Country in July that the Royal Warrant is “the gold standard of endorsements” and agreed, telling the outlet, “Kate’s warrant will be especially sought after.”
