CLEVELAND — The Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment Company is kicking off the new year as a private company and says it plans to restart stalled development at the Hall of Fame Village.
The company completed a merger on Jan. 1 and is now owned by HOFV Holdings, which is tied to developer Stuart Lichter.
Company officials say the move brings stability after funding delays halted projects like the Gameday Bay water park and another planned hotel property.
The city and leaders in tourism call it a big step for Canton’s future.
