The 2026 awards season has officially begun. Mere days into the new year, the Critics Choice Awards returned to Santa Monica for its 31st edition, celebrating the top projects in film and television—and the people behind them.
Hosted by Chelsea Handler for the fourth time in a row, the event honored the likes of Timothée Chalamet, for his work on Marty Supreme, Emma Stone for Bugonia, and Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another. Additional pictures nominated included Sentimental Value, Sinners, Frankenstein, and Hamnet, while series that made the lists included Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Adolescence, and Severance.
Walking the red carpet, Mia Goth was the picture of elegance in a classic Dior white slip dress and built-in off-the-shoulder shawl, and Odessa A’zion stood out in a sparkling silver look with billowing cape sleeves. Justine Lupe stunned in a sea-green gown that trailed behind her, while Hacks stars Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs recreated Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s iconic ping pong-orange couples look. Singer Audrey Nuna went for a sculptural look, and stylist Jamie Mizrahi dressed Hannah Einbinder in custom Louis Vuitton.
