Royal experts have suggested that Meghan Markle could be in “danger” despite Prince Harry winning a major victory in the UK this week.
Last month, the UK’s Home Office ordered a threat assessment for the first time since Harry stepped down as a working royal in 2020.
Harry, who served in Afghanistan, was previously said to face the most serious risk, alongside only the late Queen and the PM.

But it was later claimed his rating had fallen during an assessment in February 2020, meaning his automatic right to armed protection was removed, something he fought bitterly publicly.
However, it looks like things may have changed following the review.
According to The Mail on Sunday, Prince Harry has now won his fight, with the ruling expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks, according to their sources.
The Sussexes have not visited the UK since 2022 as a family, for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Harry has since insisted it would not be safe for them to return as a unit without government backed security.
The Duke said that while he loved the UK, “it was “really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

Despite their reported win after years of battling, one royal expert has suggested that Meghan should stay firmly in the US.
For BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has claimed that despite the reported win, it’s unlikely that Meghan would join him on a trip to the UK.
“Any visit by Meghan would need to be carefully curated and monitored. She may not be in the same physical danger, but she’s more likely to be the target of a verbal backlash than Harry, who still has a way of endearing himself to the crowds,” she said.
“If I were her, I’d give the UK a miss. She’s clearly happy at home in California. Why wouldn’t she be? She’s free, she’s wealthy, she has a husband who adores her and children she loves. Why court hostility over here?”
Jennie added: “Harry and the kids can pop over and see Grandpa. Archie and Lilibet can take a peek inside the Palace walls their ancestors have inhabited. And then they can all head back to the sunshine.”
