CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The PNC Music Pavilion is getting a new name.
Now known as Truliant Amphitheater, the venue announced the name change on Jan. 8, 2026.
The venue was first known as the Blockbuster Pavilion when it was opened in 1991 before becoming the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. The name has changed several times over the years, becoming the PNC Music Pavilion in 2013.
Since then, several major acts like Paul McCartney, Elton John, Usher, Destiny’s Child, Fleetwood Mac and more have performed on stage.
The new, multi-year name change was created through a naming rights partnership.
The first show of the summer season takes place on April 17 and will feature Mt. Joy on the Hope We Have Fun Part II tour.
