Princess Catherine could be set to celebrate her birthday today with a party hosted by King Charles. The King, Prince William and their three children will also likely be on hand to make sure that Catherine is made to feel extra special as she turns 44 today.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold recently spoke to Heart Bingo about Catherine’s birthday, adding: “I can almost guarantee that the King will still host a birthday party for his daughter-in-law.” With her birthday falling on a Friday this year, he added: “It’s possible that it will be on the actual day of the birthday, unless William’s got something private arranged.
“There’ll be a celebration, and food-wise, she will be eating some of the things that she likes.”
He also added that the family could also hold a private dinner for Catherine, most likely in Windsor.
He said: “All royal birthdays are celebrated in some shape and form, even if the birthdays aren’t big celebrations.
“When I worked for the King, he would certainly have a private dinner. It wouldn’t be a big family gathering, it’d just be a private dinner.”
In a recent interview with AceOdds, he also added that he believes that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will likely send private birthday wishes to their sister-in-law today.
He said: “If they were to put something out publicly, everybody around the world would be saying, ‘Oh wow, they are speaking again.’
“At the moment, while whatever is going on is still happening behind closed doors, I think it is unlikely that we will see any kind of public message right now.
“However I absolutely believe that privately there will be birthday wishes, whether that is a phone call, a video call, birthday cards being sent, and possibly even gifts.”
