Ashley Tisdale‘s scathing essay about a “toxic” mum group has lit the internet on fire, so much so that her publicist had to release a statement about the whole thing. Everyone’s putting their two cents in from fans to celebs, and now, it appears that one of the mums from the Hollywood mum group — featuring the likes of Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore — has clapped back.
Clothing designer Samii Ryan took to her Instagram Story shortly after The Cut essay dropped to repost a video of a man opening up his front doors and mouthing the words to Megan Thee Stallion’s “Her”.

“I don’t care if these bitches don’t like me, ’cos, like, I’m pretty as fuck,” the track begins. “Just the other day, I heard a ho say. Matter of fact, what could a ho say? With a face like this and a bitch this paid, shi, what could a ho say?”
She captioned the repost: “2026 mood.”

In the essay, Tisdale recounted her falling out with a group of mums after she “sense[d] a growing distance” and realised she was being “frozen out of the group”.
After noticing her exclusion when the mums would share their hangouts on Instagram and leave her off text threads, Tisdale reached a tipping point.
She recalled sending a defiant message to the mum group chat which read: “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore”.
After dropping the essay, heaps of peeps chimed in online, including fellow Hollywood mums who aren’t in the group, but appear to have knowledge of the situation.
First up, there was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Crystal Kung Minkoff who likened the situation to her infamous falling out with a group of mates that occurred around the time she joined the show in 2021.
“Me, realising I wasn’t mentioned in Ashley Tisdale’s ‘losing friends’ article 👀… didn’t I literally start that trend back in 2021? #14friends #rhobh #trendsetteroh,” she wrote, before adding the spiciest drop of all: “Fun fact: my childhood bestie is in that photo!”

Meanwhile, fellow RHOBH star Sutton Stracke told Page Six she reckons Ashley Tisdale would be a great fit for Real Housewives, given she’s survived mum group drama:
Elsewhere, Christy Carlson Romano — who is a fellow ex-Disney gal, appearing alongside Hilary Duff in Cadet Kelly and voicing the legendary Kim Possible, dropped a shade-infused TikTok with the words where she appeared giggling in a hot tub, with the following words overlaid: “Celeb mum drama is wild to watch unfold from the outside of the group”, adding in the caption: “Minding my business.”
A representative for Tisdale has since shut down the speculation, telling TMZ that her essay had nothing to do with the celebrity group, despite fans’ assumptions.
While no direct quote was provided, TMZ reported that Tisdale’s comments had been misconstrued, stressing that the piece was intended to highlight the very real challenges faced by new mums — not to spark a celebrity feud.
