Stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser responds to why she decided against making any jokes about Ozempic at the Golden Globes awards that she hosted. In an interview with USA Today, Glaser explained that weight-loss and cosmetic procedure jokes have become so common that they no longer feel original, saying:
Ozempic’s been done. Some jokes there’s just not a unique way to do them anymore.
She added that after working with a team of writers over the holidays and reviewing her material carefully, she decided those jokes didn’t belong in her Golden Globes monologue this year.
