Partake in a sober night out

What to know: Enjoy an alcohol-free evening of community and connection at the second annual Sober Shindig at PetSkull Brewing. Hosted in collaboration with the Lighthouse Recovery Community Center, this welcoming event features hop water, non-alcoholic beers, mocktails and PetSkull’s own root beer. The kitchen will be open serving pizzas, wings, cheese curds and more, making it easy to grab dinner while you’re there. The shindig runs Friday evening, Jan. 16, with board games and good company encouraged.

Paint with bold style

What to know: Channel your inner artist during a Paint & Sip inspired by the Keith Haring exhibit at the Rahr-West Art Museum. Participants will create their own artwork while enjoying alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a relaxed, creative setting. This hands-on class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, and is open to ages 21 and older. It’s a fun way to connect with art while learning a new painting technique similar to Haring’s.

Meet ‘dinosaurs’ up close

What to know: Stomp into a prehistoric adventure with Dinosaur Dimensions Live at the Manitowoc Public Library. This interactive show features lifelike animatronic dinosaur puppets, engaging storytelling, fun facts and plenty of audience participation. After the performance, attendees can enjoy a meet-and-greet and snap photos with their favorite dinos. The show is one hour and designed for all ages.
