Crash Course in Sewing 1.0

The Dime will offer a beginner’s course on sewing and using a sewing machine. Guests will learn how to create three stitch samples through assistance from a learned instructor. Those who attend will get a 10% off coupon from the store.

Beginner Watercolor Workshop

Learn how to create unique watercolors in this introductory-level workshop at Wildflower Art Studio. The session will cover color mixing, design, brush stroke techniques, shading and design. All supplies will be included, and guests can enjoy snacks and coffee.

Off the Rails at Steve’s Wine Bar

Enjoy a glass of wine at Steve’s Wine Bar while listening to Off the Rails, a blues band with Americana and country overtones. The band features an upright bassist, a mandolinist, a violinist and a guitarist.

Dragon Movie and Craft

All ages are invited to watch the live-action movie “How to Train Your Dragon” and paint a ceramic dragon at Bramblitt’s Yellow Dog Art Bar & Gallery. Supplies are limited, and reservations are encouraged.

MLK Jr. Day Celebration

Head to the MLK Jr. Recreation Center to commemorate the birthday of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The theme of the celebration is “Mentoring the Dream,” and the Denton Parks and Recreation Department will host a flag football tournament, community march and a program after the march.
