Matt Damon pokes fun at Ben Affleck like brothers on ‘The Rip’ set
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have built a real brotherhood between them on the set of The Rip.
Recently, at the New York City premiere of their upcoming crime thriller, The Rip, director Joe Carnahan revealed some behind-the-scenes details while speaking to PEOPLE.
Carnahan shared that the pair, who have been close friends for four decades, built a “brotherly” bond during the production of the movie.
Affleck and Damon, who play a pair of cops in The Rip, made the filming experience fun and “hysterical,” as Carnahan described it.
“Oh, they razz each other endlessly,” Carnahan explained. “It’s the way brothers go at each other.”
The director further described that the way the two actors act with each other is similar to how he talks with his own brother.
“We just endlessly clown the other person, and that is them. It’s very brotherly, their relationship,” Carnahan reflected.
Although Affleck and Damon have quite a serious crime role on screen, behind the camera, the duo is all about poking fun and joking around with each other.
The Rip starts streaming on January 16 on Netflix.
