Tinseltown’s renowned sound mixer Thomas Causey passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Cathedral City, California. Causey’s daughter-in-law, Crystal, confirmed the Hollywood veteran’s passing to the trade publication, Deadline.
Mr. Causey just celebrated his birthday a little over a month ago, on Dec. 5, 2025, and he was 76 years old. No cause of death has been revealed at the time of this writing. Causey, who worked on all four of the Star Trek films featuring The Next Generation’s cast, enjoyed an impressive career spanning over 50 years.
