BMC Elections 2026: Celebrities Including Hema Malini, Suniel Shetty, and Sanya Malhotra Participate in Voting for Mumbai’s Civic Elections

The polling for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026 has commenced today (January 15). Residents of Mumbai have started to step out to exercise their right to vote in order to select a suitable candidate as a corporator in their neighborhoods for the upcoming five years. Alongside the general public, numerous Bollywood stars are also arriving at the polling stations to cast their important votes for BMC polls 2026. Akshay Kumar, Sanya Malhotra, Hema Malini, Suniel Shetty, John Abraham, Junaid Khan, Kiran Rao, Ira Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rakesh Roshan, Zoya Akhtar, Gulzar, and many other film industry personalities have been seen at the voting locations to participate in the election.

Akshay Kumar was among the first celebrities to arrive at the polling booth this morning to cast his vote for the Mumbai civic elections. He was joined by his wife, Twinkle Khanna. Akshay encouraged all Mumbai residents to come forward and vote.

Sanya Malhotra, known for her role in Dangal, also voted earlier today in Mumbai.

Hema Malini was seen at a polling station in Mumbai to cast her vote. For those unaware, Hema lost her husband, Dharmendra, in November 2025 due to health issues.

Suniel Shetty visited the voting center in Bandra to cast his vote for the BMC elections 2026. He urged the public to participate in the voting process and highlighted its significance.

John Abraham also made his way to the Bandra center to vote in the Mumbai civic elections.

Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s former wife, along with their son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan, also attended the polling booth in Bandra to vote in the BMC elections 2026.

Tamannaah Bhatia also participated in the voting for the elections in Mumbai.

In addition to these celebrities, Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, Rakesh Roshan, Zoya Akhtar, and others have fulfilled their responsibilities as citizens of Mumbai.
