LAMB OF GOD Announce New Album Into Oblivion, Share Ferocious Title Track

Lamb Of God have announced their long-awaited return. The Richmond, Virginia metal titans will release their new studio album, Into Oblivion, on March 13, 2026 via Epic Records, marking their first full-length effort in four years.

Described as both a reckoning and a release, Into Oblivion finds Lamb Of God fully embracing their status as modern metal lifers — unburdened by trends, expectations, or the need to prove anything to anyone. Across ten tracks, the band revisits the groove-heavy DNA that defined their rise while expanding their sonic scope, resulting in an album that feels deliberate, confident, and unrestrained.

The announcement arrives alongside the premiere of the album’s blistering title track, “Into Oblivion,” accompanied by a stark, psychologically charged video directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. As punishing as anything in the band’s catalog, the song pairs crushing riffs with lyrics that confront societal decay head-on.

“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton explains. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”

Vocalist Randy Blythe is even more direct about the album’s title and themes. “Because that’s where we’re heading,” Blythe says of Into Oblivion. “In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”

In the lead-up to today’s announcement, Lamb Of God offered an early glimpse of the album’s range with two standalone singles. “Sepsis,” their first new song since 2022, paid tribute to the early-’90s Richmond underground that helped shape the band. That was followed by “Parasocial Christ,” a lean, three-minute assault that leaned into classic Lamb Of God aggression.

Produced and mixed by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across locations deeply tied to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Virginia, guitars and bass were recorded at Morton‘s home studio, and Blythe laid down his vocals at the storied Total Access Studio in Redondo Beach, California — famously associated with seminal punk releases from Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.

Album pre-orders are available now, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies. A surprise first pressing quietly appeared on the band’s website earlier this week and sold out almost instantly, signaling just how eagerly fans have been awaiting Lamb Of God‘s next chapter.
