Canadian singer Gabriel Marchuk has always loved and been involved in music.
Growing up, he remembers playing classical music before switching to Christian music when he was about 18 years old. “It’s way more fulfilling than any other musical endeavour I’ve done. Once I started doing it, everything else fell flat because doing it for God is better than doing it for any other reason,” he says.

Marchuk recently released “Runaway,” a song he says happened fairly quickly. “It happened in a flash. I wasn’t feeling like I was doing well enough in my faith journey and relationship with God. I wasn’t taking it seriously enough. Just the feeling of, man, it’s incredible that all these times that I’ve fallen short and run away, God has still been faithful through all of that.”
After hearing the song, Marchuk hopes listeners will hold onto a simple truth. “You can’t run far enough away from God that He can’t reach you.”
Looking ahead, Marchuk is excited to continue releasing music. “We’re working on a bunch of different songs. I’ve written over 200 songs, so it’s just a matter of finding the time to record and get them out. I’m renovating my studio space right now, and then as soon as that’s done, we get back into putting songs out, so we should have a song coming out in February.”
