Millie Bobby Brown delivers empowering speech at 2026 Joy Awards: ‘Keep dreaming’
Millie Bobby Brown recently made a dazzling appearance at the 2026 Joy Awards following the conclusion of Stranger Things.
On Saturday, January 17, the 21-year-old actress attended the star-studded ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she was honoured with the Personality of the Year award.
Taking to the stage to accept the accolade, Brown said, “It’s really thrilling to be here tonight with all of you. My name is Millie Bobby Brown, and I’m so honoured to be in a room filled with so many talented and wonderful people.”
She then reflected on entering the entertainment industry at a young age, admitting she never planned to pursue Hollywood so early in life and crediting her family’s unwavering support for guiding her through the journey.
Furthermore, Brown spoke about the importance of embracing rejection in the creative process.
“Creativity and embracing rejection are a big part of this journey, and that can be especially difficult at a young age,” she said. “But when that special day finally comes, it reminds you how important it is to believe in yourself and to keep dreaming.”
Toward the end of her speech, the Damsel actress gave a nod to her young fans, particularly young girls and women.
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family, husband, team, and daughter, confessing she “wouldn’t be able to do any of this without them.”
Brown concluded her acceptance speech by acknowledging the power and privilege that come with being a public figure, adding that her greatest responsibility is serving as a role model for young people.
